Spring is in the air and people are out and about. As much as we would love to host you for an event in April, May or June but we are planning big things for July and need the time to get ready. For what, you ask? We have some exciting events and some amazing changes on their way. We’ll keep you all posted as walls come down!

An Evening of Tastings with Sommelier- Sam Ritchy

Chicago’s Sam Ritchey will again join TeaHaus in presenting four tea tastings of various themes. At the tastings, you will enjoy 7-9 teas, an in-depth presentation and foods inspired by the teas.

Topics will be announced soon but save the dates because these tastings fill quickly. We will begin taking reservations at the beginning of October. Cost: $20.oo/person

“A Cupcake & Tea Pairing” (a TeaHaus and Cake Nouveau collaboration)

Every third Sunday in the month, TeaHaus is offering special, reservation only events. Our first two events were fully booked English Afternoon Tea Services complete with finger sandwiches, scones, sweet treats and much more.

In April, we are trying something a bit different. Courtney from Cake Nouveau, together with Lisa from TeaHaus, will be offering a cupcake and tea pairing. This is your chance to sample 5-7 mini Cake Nouveau cupcakes-some traditional and some new and funky- along with 5-7 perfectly paired teas.

!!!Sam the Sommelier is coming back!!!

For those of you who have had the chance to attend a tea tasting with Sam Ritchey from Chicago, you know what an amazing experience it is. For three days only this April, Sam will be presenting four tasting events.

Welcome to Tea.

This class is for both tea novice and the tea connoisseur. Sam will guide you through the world of tea from Black and Oolong to Green and White. He can answer any question you may have about this amazing beverage and share stories from his journeys to the various tea growing regions of the world. You will have to chance to taste between 7-9 teas and sample various foods prepared with tea. This tasting is a perfect way to be introduced to high quality specialty teas or to expand one’s existing knowledge about it.

“HEALTH and TEA” — Interpreting the Media and Learning the Facts.

There is currently so much information in the media about tea and how it relates to one’s health. Let Sam help you navigate through all of the media stories and discuss some of the most interesting studies currently being done on this topic. Sam is not a medical expert and makes no claims. However, he does have in-depth knowledge of the past and current studies being done throughout the world on the topic of heath and tea and can relay his knowledge to you. While discussing the various types of tea in the studies, we will have a chance to try 7-9 teas as well as sample foods prepared with the teas.
